Saying goodbye to September is the same as saying goodbye to this past summer. It always goes too fast, but the month of October has always been a special one for me. I don't have just one reason, but a life time of memories during this time of year that add up to as much warmth as a cozy fire and hot apple cider with a cinnamon stick thank you very much. But it also brings home a point that we sometimes forget and that is there is more than one reason for inspiration. Yes it is the magic elixir of creativity, but sometimes, inspiration is just a wonderful state of being in it's own right. Keeping your eyes open as the season changes not only gives you beautiful visuals to call upon again and again, but the feelings that go along with seeing that special sunset or that colored leaf lying in the most perfect of all positions next to that tree lichen. For me, it's like recording all of these magical things where they dance for awhile, then, retire to some spot to make room for more that is always coming in. At the end of the day, there is a peaceful resonance about your person, one that makes the quiet of falling asleep a soft, warm blanket. It was an inspired day is a personal gift we receive just for staying in tune. And when it does come time to create, there is all of this juice just waiting to combine with the idea of the day and fill us up until we become so absorbed in the act of creating, it no longer matters when or where it all came from. I just love when that happens. So adieu September and welcome October, we've been waiting for you.
What a poetic way to bring in a wonderful month!

Really, I'm kind of a summer girl, but you do make the onset of autumn seem appealing!
